Good Lock Team Addresses One Hand Operation+ Issue in One UI 7.0

by | Dec 18, 2024 | News, Samsung Apps

Samsung’s Good Lock team has promised to quickly fix a One Hand Operation+ bug in One UI 7.0. The bug causes the notification or quick panel to overlap with the lockscreen. The team has fixed the issue internally and plans to roll out an update for the app soon.

Samsung to resolve One Hand Operation+ bug in One UI 7.0

With every major One UI update, Good Lock modules encounter various compatibility issues. It’s no different this year. Some modules, including NavStar and QuickStar don’t even work on One UI 7.0 beta. Some others, meanwhile, have bugs affecting their performance. One Hand Operation+ has a glitch causing the notification panel to appear over the lockscreen when pulled down using a gesture.

We can confirm this issue. It isn’t even intermittent but a continuous issue. The notification panel overlaps the lockscreen every time we pull it down using a One Hand Operation+ gesture. The panel is still functional, but you can’t hide it. You must lock your phone again for it to disappear.

According to a forum moderator responsible for Good Lock-related complaints, this is because of a change in the notification panel behavior in One UI 7.0. More importantly, One Hand Operation+ developers have addressed the issue. The moderator promised to roll out an update for the app soon. As of this writing, the update isn’t available, causing problems for beta users.

Hopefully, it won’t take much longer now. Good Lock’s One Hand Operation+ module makes it easier to use large devices with one hand. It lets you set up custom swipe gestures and shortcuts. This type of bug can be frustrating for those who frequently use gestures. Thankfully, performing a regular swipe down within the screen does not trigger this issue.

If you use One Hand Operation+ and have enrolled your Galaxy S24 into Samsung’s One UI 7.0 beta program, avoid using gestures to pull the notification panel. At least until the bug is fixed. Keep an eye out for updates on the Galaxy Store and Good Lock.
