Good Lock Goes Global, But Some Modules are Missing

by | Apr 15, 2025 | News, Samsung Apps

Samsung has officially launched Good Lock globally, opening up its popular customization platform to Galaxy device users around the world. Previously available only in select regions, Good Lock is now theoretically accessible to all. However, the global release hasn’t been as smooth as many had hoped. Many modules are missing in newly supported regions.

Good Lock’s global release marred by missing modules and errors

For those new to it, Good Lock is Samsung’s official personalization suite that allows Galaxy users to tweak various UI elements. The app itself acts more like a hub or launcher for its various modules. Some modules are exclusively available through the Good Lock app, while others can be downloaded as standalone apps.

While the Good Lock app itself is now available in more markets — both through the Galaxy Store and Google Play Store — users in several newly supported regions are reporting issues with downloading some modules. Some modules simply don’t appear in the app’s interface, while others show up but users can’t install them.

Users attempting to download modules like Keys Cafe, Dropship, Nice Shot, Galaxy to Share, and RegiStar are running into an error message stating: Something went wrong. Try again later.  Attempts to access these modules via the Galaxy Store on a desktop browser also return a “not supported” error message. This suggests that availability is still being restricted behind the scenes, despite the broader rollout.

As reported by SamMobile, some Good Lock modules are now available in more markets and functioning normally. These include Theme Park, Wonderland, Edge Lighting+, Edge Touch, Nice Catch, One Hand Operation+, Routines+, Camera Assistant, and Sound Assistant.

Meanwhile, modules like NavStar and QuickStar don’t show up directly in the Good Lock app, but they still appear when searching manually in the Galaxy Store. Once downloaded, you can access them through Good Lock. Let’s hope Samsung irons out these bugs quickly so all users can enjoy the full power of Good Lock.
