After years of being limited to select countries, Samsung has finally unleashed Good Lock for users across the globe. The highly requested customization suite is now available for Galaxy users in many previously unsupported regions — the company did promise a global release after the One UI 7 rollout. Moreover, the app is available to download from the Google Play Store alongside the Galaxy Store.
Samsung brings Good Lock to global markets
Good Lock is a powerful, modular app that lets users customize nearly every aspect of their Galaxy device’s user interface. From lock screen tweaks to advanced multitasking tools, it opens up a level of personalization not found anywhere else. Unfortunately, this app was region-locked all this time, so many Galaxy users missed out on it. Samsung said it would release Good Lock globally after the One UI 7 update, and it delivered.
We are now seeing the app’s availability in more countries, both through the Google Play Store and Galaxy Store. This strongly suggests that Samsung has started a global rollout, even if it’s happening in stages. If you still don’t see the app on your Galaxy phone, wait a few days and check again. Ensure that your phone supports Good Lock — the app isn’t compatible with some devices.
Despite this global release, a few Good Lock models remain exclusive to Korea and select other markets, including Game Booster+ and Galaxy to Share. Hopefully, Samsung plans to bring those to more Galaxy users soon — maybe with One UI 8, if not with One UI 7. We will keep a close eye and let you know accordingly. Meanwhile, you can click the buttons below to check if Good Lock is available for your phone. The latest version is 3.0.11.2.
