Samsung has launched a new Good Guardians, aka Galaxy Labs, module. Display Assistant, which is currently in beta, offers a bunch of advanced display controls. The company also updated all Good Guardians modules with One UI 7.0 support.
Good Guardians update brings Display Assistant and One UI 7.0 support
Formerly called Galaxy Labs, Good Guardians is a suite of system utility tools for Galaxy phones. Samsung offers several modules to optimize the overall performance of your phone. These apps help you manage and extend the battery life, device temperature, system performance, and more. Samsung regularly updates the modules to add new features.
The latest update introduces a new module while improving the existing ones. Samsung added a Display Assistant to Good Guardians, enabling additional display control tools. It offers separate screen timeout and refresh rate controls for each app. You can select apps that you want to use in the standard refresh rate.
Additionally, you get the ability to adjust the speed at which auto-brightness changes depending on the ambient light. You can also enable unrestricted brightness at high temperatures. Currently, the brightness is automatically lowered if you use your phone under direct sunlight for a long time. This is done to limit the system temperature.
Display Assitant also lets you add a Quick Panel toggle that extends screen timeout to 30 minutes. When enabled, it overrides your default timeout settings. Last but not least, the new Good Guardians module introduces Curtain Mode. It puts the screen to sleep when you need to keep it on for a long time but won’t be actively looking at the screen. This helps extend the battery life. You can add a Quick Panel toggle for it.
Samsung is now rolling out Display Assistant to Good Guardians users in supported markets via the Galaxy Store. As mentioned above, The latest update also adds One UI 7.0 support to these tools. Hopefully, the company will consider expanding its availability to more markets soon.
