The Gmail app for Android is undoubtedly one of the best email apps available today. Google continuously works to improve it, adding tweaks and refining the design. In its latest update, Gmail for Android now features icons next to the options in the three-dot menu. Plus, there are a few additional options.
Gmail app for Android gets icons next to three-dot menu options
First spotted by 9to5Google, the Gmail app now includes icons next to the options in the three-dot menu and uses line separators to organize the sections. There are four sections in total. The first one contains Move to, Move to Inbox, Change labels, and Mark important.
Snooze has been moved from second to fifth place, now next to Add to Tasks, which has been moved up from the bottom. The menu also includes Mute, Print all, View in light theme, and Help & feedback, with Report spam highlighted in red at the end. Thankfully, the publication has shared screenshots showing the changes in the Gmail app for Android.

You can also see Mute, Print all, View in Light Theme, and Help & Feedback are now coupled in one section with icons next to each one. The publication reports that the changes are rolling out with the Gmail app v2025.01.25.721794537. So, you may need to check if the update is available for you. If you donโt see the changes right away, try force-stopping the app after updating. Personally, I like the changes in the updated Gmail app for Android. What I feel is they make it easier to understand what each action will do, thanks to the added icons.
