Samsung’s One UI 7.0 update looks set for a lengthy delay. Reports suggest the company still plans three more beta builds before the stable release, potentially pushing it back to May. Meanwhile, it continues to deliver timely security patches to eligible Galaxy phones. Several Galaxy devices have already received the February security update. Joining the list today are the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, and Galaxy S23 FE.

February update hits the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, and S23 FE

Over the past few days, Samsung has updated all flagship phones launched since 2022 to the February security patch. The Galaxy S25, S24, S23, and S22 series, as well as the 2024 and 2023 foldables, have received it. The Korean firm has now released the February update for its 2022 foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4. Additionally, the Galaxy S23 FE is also picking up the latest SMR (Security Maintenance Release).

All of these devices are initially receiving the February update in Samsung’s homeland, South Korea. The new firmware build number for the Fold 4 is F936NKSS5GYA5, Flip 4 is F721NKSS5GYA5, and the S23 FE is S711NKSS5BYB1. Samsung will soon roll out the new SMR to these phones in other parts of the world, including the US.

In fact, the Korean firm has yet to expand the February SMR for most of these devices globally. While the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S24, Fold 6, and Flip 6 have received it in the US, others are still waiting. Hopefully, it won’t be a long wait. Galaxy users are already pissed about Samsung’s delayed One UI 7.0 release.

Speaking of which, Samsung plans to roll out Beta 4 for the Galaxy S24 series next week, followed by Beta 5 in March and Beta 6 in April. The stable version might drop in late April or sometime in May. To be honest, we hope this timeline is inaccurate. We’d love to see Samsung roll out the stable build over the next few weeks. But maybe we are being too optimistic, only time will tell.
