Galaxy XCover 7 Pro official with substantial upgrades
The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro continues Samsung’s legacy of rugged smartphones with a reinforced body, IP68-rated water and dust resistance, and MIL-STD-810H certification for extreme durability. Its Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection adds further resistance against accidental drops. The phone has a sanitizer-proof build, making it ideal for field operations and industrial use.
The phone features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, Vision Booster for better visibility in sunlight, and a Touch Sensitivity mode that ensures responsiveness even when used with gloves — a critical feature for fieldworkers in gloves-on environments. Samsung ships the device with Android 15-based One UI 7.0, including AI features like Circle to Search, Object Eraser, AI Select, and Read Aloud.
Under the hood, the XCover 7 Pro packs the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, a 4nm chipset offering solid mid-range performance. Samsung has paired the processor with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The device supports microSD cards up to 2TB in capacity. It is fueled by a 4,350mAh user-replaceable battery that supports USB-C and POGO pin charging, though the charging speed is not known.
On the back, the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro sports a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP ultrawide lens. For video calls and selfies, there’s a 13MP front camera. Connectivity is comprehensive, including 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, dual SIM (eSIM + physical SIM), NFC, and global satellite support. Other standout features include stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face recognition, customizable physical buttons, Samsung Knox Vault, and eSE for enhanced security.
