WhatsApp is rolling out an option to share sticker packs in individual and group chats on Android, including Galaxy devices. It’s too early to celebrate, however. This feature is currently in beta testing and available only to a select group of users in the WhatsApp beta program.
WhatsApp will soon let you share sticker packs with friends
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp Beta for Android v2.24.25.2 makes it easier to share sticker packs. Like other apps, WhatsApp tests upcoming updates in beta versions to gather feedback and fix bugs, allowing only a handful of people to preview early releases. If you’re wondering when the feature will be available to everyone, it could likely arrive in the coming weeks. Once released, you’ll be able to share and receive entire sticker packs on WhatsApp using your Galaxy device or any Android.
Currently, in the stable version of WhatsApp, there is no option to send an entire sticker pack to someone. As a result, even if someone likes your sticker collection, the only option is to send each sticker individually, requiring them to manually tap and save each one. This whole process sounds quite cumbersome, right? Thankfully, the much-needed changes are on the way.
How can you share sticker packs on WhatsApp using your Galaxy or any Android phone?
At the moment, you can’t share stickers on the stable version of WhatsApp. But if you’re a beta tester, you can try it out now. Others will need to wait, as WhatsApp might release the feature in the next few weeks. Follow these steps:
- Open the sticker picker on WhatsApp
- Find the three-dot menu next to each sticker pack
- Tap the three-dot menu
- Choose to either share or remove the sticker pack
- If you share a WhatsApp-made sticker pack, a link will be created instead of sending the whole pack
