Galaxy Users Can Now Try Samsung’s Cloud Gaming Platform

by | Nov 23, 2024 | Galaxy Book, News, Samsung Apps

We all love playing games on our phones. Some of us are really excited to try as many as we can, while others settle for what they love the most. There’s a big problem, however, if you love playing so many games: Our phones often get filled up, leaving no space for other stuff, including downloading new games. Well, Samsung has a new way to tackle this: it’s not entirely new, but it’s definitely something helpful.

Play games without downloading them on Galaxy, say hello to Samsung’s cloud gaming platform

Samsung is now rolling out mobile cloud gaming for Galaxy users, the company announced in a press release. It was previously available as a beta, but now it’s fully available to everyone in North America. This means you can start playing the available titles via the Gaming Hub app on your Galaxy, without having to store or download them. Or letting them take up your valuable storage.

Starting today, there will be 23 games available to play, including familiar titles such as Candy Crush SagaMonopoly GoHonor of Kings, and Homescapes. The press release doesn’t explicitly list all the available games, so we’ll update this article or write a separate one once we get hold of things. The gaming experience should be especially impressive on the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Samsung cloud gaming comes at no price, at least for now

Samsung mobile cloud gaming is free, so Galaxy users can jump in if they’d like to try it out. “Unlike other cloud services, there is no content gated behind a paywall and no monthly subscriptions for users to access these games via our cloud streaming tech,” Samsung’s VP and Head of Game Services told GamesIndustry.biz.

In addition, developers and publishers can check out Samsung’s Mobile Cloud Gaming landing page for further details. We’ve yet to see how Samsung’s mobile cloud gaming initiative fares, but it sure looks exciting for now.
