Alongside new rugged phones, Samsung is working on a rugged tablet, supposedly called the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro. Leaks have already revealed a handful of information about the upcoming tablet. As the official launch draws closer, it has now surfaced on a benchmarking platform to confirm its processor and RAM details.
Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro spotted on Geekbench with 6GB of RAM
We recently spotted several CPU and GPU benchmark entries for the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro (model number SM-X356B) on Geekbench. The entries show an octa-core CPU clocked up to 2.50GHz. It’s paired with Qualcomm’s Adreno 810 GPU. These specs suggest we are looking at the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, something a previous leak also hinted at. This chip also powers Samsung’s rugged Galaxy Xcover 8 Pro.
The Geekbench listings confirm a 6GB RAM variant for the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro, though Samsung could offer the tablet in other RAM options. It will run Android 15 out of the box, featuring One UI 7.0. The tablet scored close to 1,200 in single-core CPU tests and 3,400 in multi-core CPU tests on Geekbench v6.4. Its GPU score was around 4,450. These scores are a massive improvement over the previous-gen Galaxy Tab Active 4 Pro.
Earlier leaks have revealed a 10,000mAh battery, likely with 25W fast charging. The device should support S Pen input, though specifics about the display are still missing. Other known details include 128GB internal storage, a microSD card slot for expandable storage, Wi-Fi 6, and an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Since it’s a rugged device, we also expect an MIL-STD-810G compliant build quality for shock resistance.
The appearance of the Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro on Geekbench indicates that Samsung is nearing its launch. However, we still do not have an exact release date. It could arrive alongside the Galaxy Xcover 8 Pro later this year. More details should surface soon, so stay tuned.
