Galaxy S25’s Best Face Feature Tipped to Arrive on Galaxy S24, S23 and S22

The new Galaxy S25 series has been in stores for over a week now. At the launch, Samsung made a big deal about the AI features and improvements, and they definitely live up to the hype. The good news? Some of these features — if not all — will be coming to older models too. For example, Best Face may roll out for the Galaxy S24, S23, and S22 series as well.

Best Face may not exclusive to Galaxy S25 series, arrival tipped for S24, S23 and S22 series

Launched with the Galaxy S25 series, Best Face uses AI to quickly go through multiple photos. It picks the best one based on facial expressions. It’s built right into the camera app, so it automatically chooses the best shot by looking at things like smiles and how open the eyes are. Now, tipster Tarun Vats says Best Face could also be coming to the Galaxy S24, S23, and S22 series. We’re likely to see it with the stable One UI 7.0 update. Vats doesn’t mention anything about FE variants.

Log video could come to Galaxy S24 Ultra with One UI 7.0

Another cool feature introduced with the Galaxy S25 is the ability to shoot video in a log profile. This gives better dynamic range and more detail. The downside is that log videos have a flat, dull color profile until edited. While it’s currently only available on the Galaxy S25 trio, it looks like the Galaxy S24 Ultra will support log video as well. It’s still unclear whether the S24 or S24+ will get it, though, according to Vats.

That said, none of these features will be available until the One UI 7.0 stable, which is still facing delays. The stable version of One UI 7.0 was originally expected to roll out for the Galaxy S24 series in the first week of February, but that timeline has been pushed back. The latest info suggests we might see more beta rounds before the final stable build is ready, meaning the rollout could be delayed for a few more months. It’s definitely frustrating.
