If all goes according to plan, we should see the Galaxy S25 series release officially in less than a month. As expected, anticipation is building with each passing day. Honestly, I am expecting some major changes, especially with the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Much of the specs for the Galaxy S25 Ultra have already leaked online, and now it looks like we might finally have a glimpse of the upcoming brightness levels too.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will offer more brightness than the S24 Ultra โ and even the iPhone 16 Pro Max
Early leaks suggest the Galaxy S25 Ultra could feature a 6.9-inch LTPO Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a QHD+ resolution. Now, another report from the folks over at Android Authority claims Galaxy S25 Ultra will boast 3,000 nits of peak brightness. This is a significant jump from the Galaxy S24 Ultra (2,600 nits) and the iPhone 16 Pro Max (2,000 nits). So, it looks like weโre in for a major upgrade.
The display resolution stays the same, however, at 3120 x 1440 pixels. In addition, top tipster IceUniverse suggests we should expect second-generation Corning Gorilla Glass with built-in anti-glare tech for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Itโs not entirely clear what IceUniverse means by that. But weโre curious if the upcoming Corning glass has been specifically engineered for Samsungโs flagship. In simpler terms, we could see improvements in areas like reduced reflections. And hereโs hoping we also see a better anti-fingerprint coating on the display, something Iโve seen mentioned a lot recently.
Pre-orders for the upcoming Galaxy S25 series might begin on January 24 and run through February 3. The retail launch could kick off on February 7.
