Galaxy S25 Ultra to Outshine iPhone 16 Pro Max with Sleek Design

by | Sep 3, 2024 | Galaxy S, News

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra may sport a more advanced front design than the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The two phones have an identical screen size, length, width, height, and bezels, but the iPhone’s controversial Dynamic Island looks a bit outdated. The Galaxy only has a tiny punch-hole selfie camera cutout on its display. The Samsung flagship may also be marginally thinner and lighter than the iPhone.

Tech enthusiasts have more reasons to be excited about the Galaxy S25 Ultra

Samsung will redesign its Ultra flagship next year. The Galaxy S25 Ultra looks substantially different from the S24 Ultra. It has curved corners, a compact body with a thinner profile, narrow bezels (allowing for a wider screen), and a lighter construction. These changes make it look more modern and polished, fitting the Ultra branding. The phone still packs a 5,000mAh battery and a built-in S Pen.

The iPhone 16 Pro Max also brings some design improvements over its predecessor. Most notably, Apple has reduced the bezels for a wider screen in a relatively compact body. However, the device still has the Dynamic Island, a pill-shaped cutout on the top of the screen, next to the camera hole. While it offers a unique interactive experience, it also takes up valuable screen real estate.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s truly uninterrupted display gives it a cleaner, more immersive front design. As the ever-reliable Samsung leaker Ice Universe says, “The front appearance of [the] S25 Ultra will be more Ultra.” Of course, a smartphone isn’t all about design. To that end, Samsung is working on improving the Galaxy experience with smoother and more responsive system animations on One UI 7.0.

While the new iPhone debuts in October, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is still several months away. Samsung will unveil it in January, alongside the Galaxy S25 and S25+.
