The Galaxy S25 Ultra‘s camera rings will allegedly look identical to the Fold 6. It won’t be an “exact” copy of the foldable but a similar design, prolific leaker Ice Universe claims. They previously suggested that Samsung might not switch to this camera ring design for the new flagship.
Galaxy S25 Ultra allegedly sports similar camera rings as the Fold 6
Last month, the ever-reliable OnLeaks shared the first 3D renders of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, showing off its design from various angles. However, Ice Universe disputed some of the design details and shared a corrected version. Most notably, they corrected that bezel-to-frame ratio. They also said Samsung might offer a different camera ring design than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, though they weren’t entirely sure about it.
It turns out the original renders depicted the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s camera rings largely accurately. The tipster recently confirmed that the upcoming flagship features a similar ring design to the new book-style foldable. Samsung might still tweak it a bit but the overall design won’t deviate much. The Korean behemoth seemingly wants design consistency across its products, though the new ring design doesn’t quite look premium.
Interestingly, the Galaxy S25 and S25+ are said to feature double-layered camera rings that create a floating effect. The top glass might look identical to the Ultra but the ring itself is completely different. The same source previously said that the base model’s camera rings protrude 1.8mm out of the back panel, while the Ultra’s protrude 2.4mm. These are still slimmer cameras than most competing phones.
In fact, if rumors are accurate, the three Galaxy S25 models might be the slimmest phones in their respective segments. Samsung is aiming for an aesthetic overhaul alongside hardware and software upgrades. The new flagships arrive one early 2025 running Android 15-based One UI 7.1.
