Galaxy S25 Ultra’s Sleek Redesign: Wider Screen in Slimmer Body

by | Aug 21, 2024 | Galaxy S, News

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will introduce a bold redesign for Samsung’s Ultra flagship lineup. It has rounded corners, slimmer bezels, and a unique frame with less projection on the front. All of this is a significant departure from its predecessor’s familiar, Note-inspired boxy shape. A trusted tipster just shared some data, offering key insights into the fresh new design.

Galaxy S25 Ultra has a wider screen despite a narrower body

Over the past few days, tipster Ice Universe has dropped several Galaxy S25 Ultra images showing its design from multiple angles. They placed the upcoming Samsung flagship next to the Gaklaxy S24 Ultra and other devices to highlight the design differences. Those images revealed that the new model is narrower than its predecessors but still has a wider screen.

The tipster recently shared the precise widths of the screen and body for both models. The Galaxy S24 Ultra is 79mm/ 3.11 inches wide, while its display is 72.3mm/ 2.85 inches wide. In comparison, the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s body width measures 77.6mm/ 3.06 inches, but its screen is 73mm/ 2.87 inches wide. The former has a total bezel width of 6.7mm against the latter’s 4.6mm.

To put it short, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is 1.4mm narrower than the S24 Ultra but still offers a wider and bigger screen. Its display measures 6.86 inches diagonally, against the 2024 model’s 6.79 inches. These changes make the new phone look more premium. The same source previously claimed that the 2025 flagship is 8.4mm thick, down from 8.6mm. That’s another nifty upgrade.

The image above visualizes what the Galaxy S25 Ultra would look like with these design improvements while keeping the current model’s shape. Of course, Samsung is changing its shape too. Here are all the leaked images so far. You can also find all the leaked info about the phone in our Galaxy S25 Ultra preview. Stay tuned for more leaks, rumors, and official info.
