As with every major phone release, DXOMARK runs a series of tough tests to see how well the display performs. It awards scores based on four main factors: readability, video quality, color accuracy, and touch responsiveness. Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Ultra has come out on top, earning the top spot in DXOMARK’s display rankings.
Galaxy S25 Ultra sits at number 1 globally, according to DXOMARK display test, beating all flagships
The Galaxy S25 Ultra shines in these tests with a score of 162 in readability, 143 in touch, 158 in color, and 167 in video. This impressive performance places the S25 Ultra at number 1 globally and also gives it the number 1 spot in the Ultra-Premium category. With a combined score of 160, it’s clear this device is a display beast.
Not to be outdone, the Galaxy S25 and S25+ also performed well. Both of them share 4th place globally in the DXOMARK display rankings, which is no small feat. For context, the top three spots in the display category are taken by the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, and the Pixel 9 Pro. Meanwhile, Apple’s iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max find themselves way down to 22nd place globally.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra boasts a massive 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2x display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate. It’s built to be both bright and tough, with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, and it’s protected by Corning’s Gorilla Armor 2, which can withstand drops from up to 2.2 meters. Though, of course, you shouldn’t put that to the test. Plus, Samsung has improved the anti-reflective coating, making it even better for use in bright lighting. It’s now hitting the store shelves, and you can buy one on Samsung with trade-in offers.
