Samsung fans may have more reasons to be excited about its upcoming Unpacked event. The official banner for the event shows the corners of four phones, and it’s generating significant buzz within the tech community. While three of these devices are widely anticipated to be the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, the presence of a fourth device has sparked speculation about the possible introduction of the Galaxy S25 Slim.
Samsung’s Unpacked banner hints at Galaxy S25 Slim teaser
Samsung is widely expected to launch a fourth flagship this year, the Galaxy S25 Slim. Unlike the regular three models, there haven’t been many leaks about it. While several third-party case makers have already listed their offerings for the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, there’s nothing for the Slim. This suggests the company won’t introduce it alongside the rest of the lineup.
However, Samsung might still bring the Galaxy S25 Slim to Unpacked later this month, on January 22 — pre-reservations are now open. This possibility first surfaced when the event banner leaked last month, sparking speculation. With the official date now confirmed, anticipation has only grown. The inclusion of a fourth phone on the banner is intriguing.
We still don’t expect a full launch, though. Samsung could tease the Galaxy S25 Slim after introducing the other three models. It could follow up with a market release of the device a few months later, possibly in April or May. There have been rumors about the Slim coming in the second quarter of 2025. It should be available globally.
Based on leaks, the Galaxy S25 Slim appears to offer a nearly identical or even better set of specs than the S25 Ultra in a more compact and lightweight design. Its slimmer profile may attract users, potentially impacting S25 Ultra sales. However, the lack of S Pen support remains a notable drawback, keeping the Ultra as the go-to choice for productivity-focused users. More details are awaited.
