The official launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series is still over a month away. However, leaks have already given us a glimpse into what we can expect in the upcoming flagships. A new report confirms rumors that the phones will feature a vibrant display with improved power efficiency.
Galaxy S25 series to bring display evolution
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 series has sparked debates over its display technology. Despite a rumored price hike, reports suggest the new flagships will use M13 OLED panels, similar to the Galaxy S24. The company already supplies newer M14 displays to Apple and Google but its next-gen models do not use the upgraded technology.
The M14 panels are said to offer 20-30% greater efficiency, brighter displays, and longer lifespans compared to the M13, making Samsung’s decision appear cost-driven rather than performance-focused. However, there’s positive news for display enthusiasts. The company has allegedly improved the display performance for enhanced color accuracy and vibrancy.
If true, the Galaxy S25 series should offer improved display quality despite featuring the same technology underneath. Moreover, Samsung’s revolutionary anti-reflective screen technology reduces glare, making the display more legible under bright light.
The new phones are also expected to debut advanced power management tools for longer battery life. Samsung is investing heavily in AI technologies, with its first Android 15-based One UI 7.0 beta update bringing a couple of new Galaxy AI features. More appear to be on the way. The Galaxy S25 trio will run One UI 7.1 out of the box.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25 series in late January or early February. You should be able to pre-order the device immediately after the launch event, with the company likely offering a free storage upgrade.
