Galaxy S25 Enterprise Editions Phones Will Get 8 Years of Software Updates

by | Apr 6, 2025 | Galaxy S, News, One UI

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 series back in January during their Unpacked event. Two weeks later, it kicked off pre-orders for the Galaxy S25 and S25 Ultra Enterprise Editions in Europe. These phones are pretty much the same as the regular ones in a lot of ways, except the Enterprise Edition throws in a one-year subscription to the Samsung Knox suite and three years of extra business support. However, there’s something even more exciting about the Galaxy S25 Enterprise Edition that you won’t find in the regular models — eight years of software updates.

Galaxy S25 Enterprise Edition phones will receive software updates till One UI 15 (Android 23)

The Galaxy S25 series phones come with seven years of software updates, making them eligible for One UI 14 (Android 22). However, with the Galaxy S25 Enterprise Edition, you’ll get an extra year of software updates, as confirmed by the Samsung Knox website (via SamMobile). This means these phones will be eligible for One UI 15 (Android 23), which should roll out around 2032. Well, to be honest, I’m a bit jealous.

Galaxy S25 Enterprise Edition Software Updates

It’s certainly a great deal, but keep in mind that only business customers can get their hands on these phones. The eight years of software support makes them more future-proof than any Pixel or iPhone on the market today. Additionally, although the Samsung Knox listing mentions the Galaxy S25+ Enterprise Edition, we haven’t seen it released yet.

As of now, we only have information on the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Galaxy S25 Enterprise Editions. These were made available in Europe in February, with a single color option. The Galaxy S25 Ultra came in Titanium Black with 12GB/256GB storage. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 was offered in Silver Shadow with 12GB/256GB storage configurations. Since these models have yet to reach other markets, we can expect the Galaxy S25+ to join the lineup soon.
