If rumors hold true, Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge in about three weeks. The upcoming slim flagship is rumored to go official on April 16. The company has already showcased the device a few times, revealing its design. Today, we have a full hands-on video offering a 360-degree look at the Galaxy S25 Edge, confirming its rumored 5.84mm thickness.
Early hands-on video showcases Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge from all angles
The Galaxy S25 Edge is set to be Samsung’s thinnest smartphone yet. Initially rumored to measure 6.4mm thick, recent leaks suggest it’s even slimmer at just 5.84mm. This hands-on video posted on YouTube confirms this. Compared to the 8.2mm-thick S25 Ultra, the S25 Edge looks astonishingly thin.
Well, the YouTuber clarifies that the device in the video is a third-party mockup of the Galaxy S25 Edge, not an official Samsung-made dummy or prototype. The mockup’s thickness may have been based on leaks rather than official specs. Still, with the launch just weeks away, there’s a strong chance the leaked 5.84mm measurement is accurate.
As far as the rest of the design is concerned, Samsung previously showed the Galaxy S25 Edge at its Unpacked event in January and then at MWC earlier this month. The phone sports a dual-camera setup on the back, with the camera bump also housing an LED flash unit.
This slim flagship is expected to feature a titanium frame, the same as the S25 Ultra. It may also share the 200MP primary camera and the 50MP ultrawide lens with the Ultra model (or maybe feature the S25’s 12MP ultrawide camera). However, the device looks certain to miss out on a zoom camera.
Considering recent developments, Samsung looks set to fully unveil the Galaxy S25 Edge in a few weeks. However, unlike the regular S25 flagships, this first-of-its-kind Galaxy phone may not be available globally at launch. The company plans to produce it in limited quantity, potentially restricting it to select markets. Only time will tell whether the Galaxy S25 Edge goes global.
