Galaxy S25 Codename Revealed, and it’s Perfect!

by | Sep 20, 2024 | Galaxy S, News

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series promises to be a true game-changer, bringing groundbreaking improvements in design and performance. The company is setting out to redefine the expectations for flagship smartphones, signaling a major (read: paradigm) shift in the industry. Fittingly, the phones carry the codename “Paradigm,” perfectly reflecting the bold innovations they bring.

Galaxy S25 phones carry a fitting codename

According to GalaxyClub, Samsung’s internal codename for the Galaxy S25 series is Paradigm. It may be a well-thought-out codename reflecting the bold changes and innovations the phones bring. Rumors say the 2025 Galaxy flagships will outshine major rivals in every aspect. They are super thin, lightweight, nicely designed, and offer meaningful hardware and software upgrades.

It appears Samsung wanted to convey this all via the codename. The company used the codename Diamond for the Galaxy S23 series and Eureka for the S24 — notice the alphabetical order (D followed by E). Going by this pattern, the S25 series should have had a codename starting with the letter “F”. In fact, Samsung referred to the new flagships solely with the letter “F” for a long time.

When the time came to pick an actual codename, the company decided to go with Paradigm. It hints at the major changes and upgrades the Galaxy S25 series brings to the table. The new flagships are said to be the thinnest and lightest devices in their respective segments. They also offer slimmer bezels than competing phones and are incredibly lightweight. All the while, still packing sizeable batteries.

Alongside design improvements, Samsung also offers camera upgrades, more RAM, new OLED display materials, a more powerful processor, and a much-improved software experience. The Galaxy S25 series will run Android 15-based One UI 7.1 out of the box. It brings new AI features and enhanced system animations for a fluid, intelligent mobile experience. Samsung’s gearing up for a real paradigm shift.
