Galaxy S24’s October 2024 update is available for AT&T users in the US
Samsung has rolled out the October 2024 Android security patch for the Galaxy S24 series for AT&T users. The carrier-bound Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra models have received the latest crucial upgrade. The latest firmware aims to enhance the system security and stability of these phones. The update arrived just a couple of days after Samsung detailed its October 2024 security patch.
October 2024 update brings fixes for several security vulnerabilities
The October 2024 update is one of the most crucial updates for Samsung smartphones. The October 2024 SSMR update for the Galaxy S24 series brings fixes for two critical security issues. In addition, it fixes 28 high-level vulnerabilities in these devices. Furthermore, the new firmware addresses as many as 12 Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE) items to enhance security. These security problems are quite specific to Samsung’s products and applications. The new firmware also fixes any problems related to system service, Knox services, and others.
Samsung is rolling out the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy S24 series in a gradual manner. The update has been released over the air. You can also head to your smartphone’s Settings > Software update > Download and Install section to check if the new firmware is available or not.
After the AT&T carrier-bound Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra models, the update is expected to reach other telco devices as well very soon. In addition, we can expect a wider rollout for unlocked Galaxy S24 models later this month.
