Galaxy S23 Ultra Misses Out on These Two Useful Galaxy S25 Features

Samsung recently revealed a list of devices getting its Audio Eraser feature with the One UI 7.0 update. Surprisingly, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is not included. However, this isn’t the only Galaxy S25 feature that the 2023 flagships are missing out on. The Galaxy S23 Ultra and its siblings also lack support for Log Video.

No Audio Eraser and Log Video for the Galaxy S23 Ultra

Audio Eraser is one of the most exciting AI-powered tools introduced with the Galaxy S25 series. It allows users to remove unwanted background noise from videos and voice recordings, making it an essential tool for content creators and professionals who require clean audio. However, despite One UI 7.0 bringing many other Galaxy S25 features to the S23 Ultra, Audio Eraser is notably absent.

Samsung didn’t clarify whether this omission is due to hardware limitations or if it might arrive in a future update. Audio Eraser is also missing on the Galaxy S24’s beta build, but the company has confirmed that the stable One UI 7.0 update will bring it. Since the Galaxy S23 Ultra is still a powerful device with advanced processing capabilities, we doubt it is incompatible with this AI tool.

Another major feature missing from the One UI 7.0 beta on the Galaxy S23 Ultra is Log Video. This professional-grade recording format allows videographers to capture high-dynamic-range footage with greater flexibility for post-production color grading. By recording in Log format, users gain control over shadows, highlights, and color tones. This makes it an invaluable tool for professionals and enthusiasts looking to fine-tune their videos.

Samsung introduced Log Video with the Galaxy S25 series and has already rolled out to the S24 lineup with One UI 7.0 beta. However, the Galaxy S23 Ultra didn’t receive it with its first beta update. Its absence once again raises questions about whether the limitation is software-related or if the device’s hardware simply doesn’t support the feature. We may not get a clear answer until the stable release next month.
