After a limited release in South Korea last week, One UI 6.1.1 is now available for the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 series widely. Samsung is rolling out the update to its latest Fan Edition phone and flagship Android tablets in Europe and India. Users in the rest of the world, including the US, should receive the update soon.
One UI 6.1.1 is rolling out to the Galaxy S23 FE and Tab S9 globally
Samsung began its One UI 6.1.1 rollout early this month. The Galaxy S24 series received the update first. As usual, the company initially updated the phones in its homeland, South Korea, before a global release. Last week, the new One UI version was rolled out to the Korean Galaxy S23, Fold 5, Flip 5, S23 FE, and Tab S9 units.
The global versions of the former three received the update a few hours ago. Now, the latter two have joined the party too. The One UI 6.1.1 update for global Galaxy Tab S9 units comes with the firmware build number BXHB (last four digits). The Galaxy S23 FE is receiving the new feature drop with the build number S711BXXU4DXH7.
Since this is a major feature update, the download file is huge, weighing well over 2GB (varies depending on your device model and region). Your Samsung tablet or smartphone picks up tons of new features, including several AI tools. The company will release One UI 6.1.1 for the Galaxy S23 FE and Galaxy Tab S9 in other markets soon.
Samsung is also expected to update the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy S22 series, and a few other devices to One UI 6.1.1. The rollout for the 2022 lineup may begin later this week. The company may wrap up One UI 6.1.1 updates this month and start One UI 7.0 in early October. One UI 7.0 brings Android 15 to Galaxy devices.
