Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy Buds 3 lineup. The Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro are picking up general stability and reliability improvements for Bluetooth and sound. The update should soon be available for both wearables globally.
Galaxy Buds 3 series gets a new software update from Samsung
Samsung frequently rolls out software updates to Galaxy devices, including wearables. The Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro debuted in July and have already received an update. A new build is rolling out now. The latest update for the duo comes with the firmware build numbers R530XXU0AXJ1 and R630XXU0AXJ1, respectively. The OTA (over the air) package weighs 7.15 MB for the Buds 3 and 7.70 MB for the Buds 3 Pro.
The official changelog provided by Samsung says the update optimizes Bluetooth connectivity and improves sound stability. You should get a more reliable connection and improved sound stability for an enhanced audio experience, making music playback more detailed and immersive. If you use either model, you can download the update through Samsung’s Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone.
To check for updates, open the Galaxy Wearable app and navigate to Earbuds Settings. Then find the Earbuds software update option near the bottom. Enter this menu and tap on Download and install. If an update is available, you will be prompted to download it. Since updates are released in batches, the latest build may not be available to all Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro users globally today. You can always check back later.
The Galaxy Buds 3 Pro is Samsung’s best TWS offering today, while the base model is a well-rounded package at a cheaper price. Both models support ultra-high-quality (UHQ) audio up to 24bit/96kHz. Available on flagship models running One UI 6.1.1 or higher, UHQ sound lets you hear the intricate details in a music track. The Galaxy Buds FE also supports this premium feature.
