Just nine months after the Galaxy Book 4 launch, Samsung is here with its next-gen Windows PC lineup. Today, the company announced the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360, the first model in the Book 5 series. It is also the Korean firm’s first laptop with Intel’s latest Lunar Lake CPU. The new Copilot+ AI PC goes on sale in select markets starting in September. Other Book 5 models may arrive later this year.
Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 arrives with Intel Lunar Lake CPU, AI features
The Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 looks identical to its predecessor, the Book 4 Pro 360. The premium 2-in-1 laptop features a flat lid and a wedge-shaped front design. Samsung offers the machine in two processor variants: Intel Core Ultra 7 and Ultra 5 (Series 2). It delivers four times the NPU power of its predecessor — up to 47 total TOPs NPU. The PC boasts over 300 AI-accelerated experiences across 100+ apps.
The laptop’s Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen display supports 10-Point Multi-Touch, WQXGA+ resolution (2880 x 1800 pixels), 120Hz variable refresh rate, 120% DCI-P3 Color Volume, Vision Booster, and 500 nits of peak brightness. Thanks to S Pen support (included in the box), mirroring your Galaxy phone‘s screen on the PC via Phone Link offers a seamless experience with access to Galaxy AI features like Chat Assist.
Samsung’s new AI PC integrates the Intel ARC GPU with a 17% graphics performance boost over its predecessor. The company claims “the best graphics performance yet” on a Galaxy Book. The device is available in 16 GB and 32GB RAM variants, with 512GB and 1TB storage options. Its 76Wh battery is rated to offer up to 25 hours of video playback, while the included 65W USB-C adapter delivers superfast charging.
The Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 boasts Bluetooth v5.4 and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity. Port options include one USB-A (3.2), one HDMI 2.1 with 8K support, two Thunderbolt 4, one Micro SD, and one headphone/microphone combo port. The laptop features dual microphones and quad speakers (two 5W woofers and two 3.3W tweeters) with Dolby Atmos. You get a full-sized backlit Pro keyboard with numeric keys and an adaptive palm rejection touchpad.
Available in two colors later this month
Samsung offers the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 in Gray and Silver colors. The company says this will be the color scheme for the entire Book 5 lineup, which marks the debut of its adaptive palm rejection touchpad to prevent accidental clicks. You get Windows 11 Home and Samsung Knox security in a 1.69Kg package. Sales begin this month, with Samsung initially releasing the laptop in Canada, France, Germany, the UK, and the US.
While Samsung hasn’t revealed the pricing structure and release dates for all markets, the Galaxy Book 5 Pro 360 is now available to order in the US directly from Samsung. The only variant available thus far in the US is the 16GB/1TB model, priced at $1699 USD, but discounted to $1449 for education buyers. If Samsung adds additional SKUs, we will update those options here. It is worth noting that the trade in values seem broken on the US website so far, only $14 for past Galaxy Book models. It may be worth bookmarking this post and returning in a few days when trade in values are properly populated.
