Samsung may soon let Galaxy users interact with Galaxy AI in a completely new way. The company aims to enhance its AI features to such a degree that you won’t even need to access the Settings app to control your phone’s settings. Your phone will predict what you might want to do and offer direct access to the relevant settings options.

Galaxy AI may be able to predict what settings you want to change or control

Earlier this year, Samsung made waves by launching its first AI-powered Galaxy smartphone, the Galaxy S24 series. Since then, the company has been steadily developing new features for Galaxy AI, while expanding the tools to more devices. According to a recent report from ETNews, the Korean firm is now working on AI-driven capabilities that would allow users to control their Galaxy phones without accessing the settings menu.

While we don’t yet know the specifics of Samsung’s plans for the future of Galaxy AI, the developments could involve predictive AI features that anticipate users’ needs based on their current activities, usage patterns, and other contextual information. “Samsung plans to improve the performance of ‘touch points’ such as keyboards and cameras to enable the ability to predict what consumers want in advance, the report states.

Samsung’s One UI software for its smart TVs already offers some predictive features. The TVs show frequently accessed settings menus so users can quickly launch those through the remote control without navigating through complex sub-menus. Galaxy AI may bring more advanced predictions to Galaxy devices, giving users a whole new way to interact with their phones and tablets. Expect more details to emerge in the coming months.

Samsung recently said it plans to upgrade its virtual assistant, Bixby, with advanced AI powers. Bixby already lets users control some settings via voice commands. AI might enhance its functionality and introduce new features. It might be able to comprehend complex sentences, even those containing multiple commands in one statement, and execute the necessary functions. We will keep you posted on Samsung’s Galaxy AI advancements.
