The company has started rolling out the new update to its flagship smartphones including the Galaxy S24 FE and the Galaxy S24 series. In the meantime, the Korean tech giant is also upgrading its mid-range Galaxy A series smartphones to the September 2024 security levels. Recently, the company released the same update for the Galaxy A15 5G. Now, the brand has rolled out the September 2024 security update for the Galaxy A33 5G.
Samsung has finally updated the Galaxy A33 5G to September 2024 Android security levels
Samsung has released the September 2024 Android security update for the Galaxy A33 5G globally. The update is available for the phone’s three models including SM-A336B, SM-A336E, and SM-A336M. The update changes the SM-A336B’s firmware version to A336BXXSAEXI8. The firmware build for the SM-A336E model is A336EDXSAEXI8.
Notably, the new firmware update for the Galaxy A33 5G is critical as it fixes as many as 67 security vulnerabilities. Updating your device to the new firmware will make your device more safer and stable than before.
Just like other updates, Samsung has released the new firmware over the air in a phased manner. You can check if the update is available for your phone by going to Settings > Software update and pressing the Download and install button. The size of the new Galaxy A33 5G firmware is said to be around 262MB.
Galaxy A33 5G is also eligible for the Android 15 update that’ll offer One UI 7
It’s worth mentioning that the Galaxy A33 5G is amongst the few mid-range Galaxy A series devices that are eligible to receive the Android 15 update. Notably, they will also get Samsung’s much-anticipated One UI 7 update alongside Android 15. However, the company will take its sweet time to release the One UI 7 update for the phone. The brand will first upgrade its high-end products. Also, the phone is on the quarterly update cycle, so the next update won’t arrive before the next three months.
