Samsungโs Galaxy A series is indeed what you should get if you want a phone that offers a premium package at an affordable price. Samsung is continuing the legacy, as it has launched the Galaxy A26, A36, and A56. The former two are now available to buy in the US, while the Galaxy A56 will arrive later. Now, Samsung is committed to selling 100 million units this year and is betting on the new Galaxy A series phones. Samsung Indiaโs MX General Manager, Akshay Rao, sat down with Gadgets360 and revealed what he hopes for.
Samsung is bullish on selling 100 million phones, and hopes the latest Galaxy A series to play a big role
One key reason for this optimism is the growing demand for budget-friendly phones with premium features. Samsung has packed the new A-series with AI-powered tools, better cameras, and long-term software support. โConsumers today want more than just affordability; they want premium features that enhance their experience. Thatโs where โAwesome Intelligenceโ comes in,โ Rao said.

At the same time, Samsung is making sure the A-series doesnโt take attention away from its high-end Galaxy S series. โWe carefully conceptualize A-series smartphones to ensure they offer the best possible experience at their price points, without taking away the โwow factorโ from the premium lineup,โ Rao explained.
Another big move is Samsungโs promise of six years of OS and security updates, so users can keep their phones longer. โWe donโt want our consumers to be stuck using an outdated version of Android,โ Rao added. With a focus on AI, better cameras, and longer updates, Samsung is confident that the Galaxy A series will continue to be a best-seller and help the company cross the 100-million sales mark this year. โWe are quite confident that we are going to cross the magical 100 million number very soon,โ Rao said.
A few weeks earlier, Samsung India MX Vice President Aditya Babbar made a similar remark. โAs per Counterpoint Research, there are 89 million happy customers on the A series. We are targeting greater than 100 million devices in A series this year,โ Indian news agency PTI quoted Babbar.
