A few days ago, the FCC certified the US versions of the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Now the global versions of the upcoming Samsung flagships have picked up the FCC certification. The devices are expected to launch in January next year.
The Galaxy S25 series approaches its launch
Samsung is developing the Galaxy S25 with the model number SM-S931, S25+ with SM-S936, and S25 Ultra with SM-S938. The US versions add the suffix “U” for carrier-locked variants and “U1” for unlocked variants. Likewise, the global versions add the suffix “B”, Korean versions add “N”, and Chinese versions add “0”.
FCC recently certified three new Samsung phones bearing the model numbers SM-S931B, SM-S936B, and SM-S938B, confirming the global Galaxy S25 versions. As usual, the official listing revealed some connectivity specs, including Wi-Fi 7 for all three models. The base model seemingly misses out on UWB (Ultra Wideband), something the previous certification also hinted at.
The rest is all standard stuff. The upcoming Galaxy flagships will boast wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, NFC, 5G cellular connectivity, and Bluetooth v5.4. The Ultra model supports the S Pen and 45W charging. The Galaxy S25 also supports 45W charging, while the base model tops out at 25W.
Alongside the flagship trio, Samsung has two more Galaxy S25 models in the pipeline. The Galaxy S25 Slim (SM-S937) is expected to be a slimmer Ultra model, following up the trio a few months later. The Galaxy S25 FE (SM-S731), meanwhile, will be an affordable flagship and may not arrive until the fourth quarter of 2025.
While the Slim and FE models are still far away, the rest of the lineup is approaching its launch. Samsung has already obtained several regulatory certifications for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, with rumors pointing at a January 22 unveiling. Leaks about these devices are likely to ramp up in the coming days. Stay tuned to catch all the latest updates!
