Last month, Samsung announced plans to release One UI 7.0 beta for the Galaxy A55, and the update is now here. The 2024 premium mid-range smartphone has received its first beta update in South Korea. The beta program should soon arrive in India and the UK as well. Samsung never launched the Galaxy A55 in the US.
Galaxy A55 is the 11th Samsung device to get One UI 7.0 beta
In December 2024, Samsung rolled out the first One UI 7.0 beta update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. It recently pushed Beta 6 to the 2024 flagship trio. In March this year, the company released multiple One UI 7.0 beta builds for the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S10+, and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra.
The Galaxy A55 is the latest and likely the final Samsung phone to get One UI 7.0 beta. As mentioned above, the beta program is currently live in South Korea where interested users can register through the Samsung Members app. This beta should also soon go live in India and the UK — these are the only other countries expected to get One UI 7.0 beta for the Galaxy A55.
Of course, the mid-range model misses out on the AI features and several other tools Samsung rolled out to its flagships. Even some older flagships aren’t getting a few Galaxy S25 features, so it’s no surprise that the Galaxy A55 doesn’t get the full set of features.
However, there are plenty of updates in the store for Samsung’s 2024 premium mid-range smartphone. The company has already confirmed plans to release the stable One UI 7.0 update in April. Flagship models will get the update starting on April 7, though it could take a while for the Galaxy A55 to get it. We will let you know when the rollout begins.
