Samsung has released the third One UI 7.0 beta update. The new build (Beta 3) is now available for the Galaxy S24 series in South Korea, India, Germany, and more regions. It should soon roll out to beta participants in all supported markets, including the US. For users in Poland and India, it is Beta 2.
Samsung drops One UI 7.0 Beta 3 for the Galaxy S24 series
In mid-December, Samsung launched One UI 7.0 beta programs for the Galaxy S24 trio in Poland and India. This coincided with the Beta 2 launch in the US, the UK, Germany, South Korea, and China. These regions received Beta 1 early in December. The company has now dropped Beta 3, bundling the January security patch.
The latest update comes with the firmware build number ZXLJ. It weighs around 1.3GB for the Galaxy S24 Ultra and brings a bunch of bug fixes and improvements. The official release notes mention improvements for the vertical app drawer, Game Booster, Samsung Messages, Quick Panel, Now Bar, lock screen, edge panel, and more. There have been rumors about Samsung potentially expanding One UI 7.0 beta programs to more devices with the launch of Beta 3. However, that doesn’t seem to be happening. As of this writing, no other Galaxy phone beyond the Galaxy S24 trio has received the beta update. The company likely plans to directly release the stable update. Stay tuned for more information.
Samsung is expected to release at least one more One UI 7.0 beta build before the stable rollout later this month. The big update will debut with the Galaxy S25 series on January 22 — the new flagships could introduce One UI 7.1. Other devices will receive the update after the flagship launch. Most Galaxy users may have to wait until sometime in February to receive One UI 7.0 or 7.1.
