Breaking! Samsung Officially Announces One UI 7.0 Rollout, Starting April 7

by | Mar 17, 2025 | News

The Galaxy S24 series just received One UI 7 Beta 5 last night and now Samsung is taking things a step further. In a somewhat shocking move, the company officially confirmed the exact start date of the stable One UI 7.0 release. It feels like a dream, considering Galaxy S24 users have been waiting so long. But it is indeed here and the stable update will begin with the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 on April 7, 2025. This timeline is quite similar to original leaked roadmap we published from Samsung Romania just last month. Thankfully, Samsung’s official schedule brings the update a few weeks earlier than that predicted window.

One UI 7 AOD

Samsung says that One UI 7 will begin rolling out on April 7, expanding to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets in the following weeks, including the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy S24 FE, the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, the Galaxy Tab S10 series and the Galaxy Tab S9 series. Conspicuously missing from this list is the Galaxy S22 series. This could mean that Galaxy S22 users need to wait until May for a taste of One UI 7.

What else do we know about the stable One UI 7 release?

The press release contains a few other interesting tidbits. Samsung specifies that Audio Eraser will only come to the Galaxy S24 series, S24 FE, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and the Tab S10 series. Galaxy S23 users will be left out for this awesome feature. In addition, there is no mention of the Now Brief. It seems all but confirmed that Samsung will keep the Now Brief exclusive to the new Galaxy S25 series. Whether this is for technical reasons or gatekeeping for sales, is up for discussion. Samsung claimed that older phones do not have an NPU powerful enough for Now Brief.

Will every region get the One UI 7 update at the same time? Of course not. Samsung clearly spells out that the update schedule will vary by region, in the tiny print of footnotes nonetheless. In any case, it is great to finally have a concrete release date. Only three weeks left!
