The wait is finally over! Samsung has officially announced One UI 7 beta for the Galaxy S24 series. The beta program is now live in Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the UK, and the US. The company may soon expand it to more regions. Other Galaxy devices should also receive the beta update in the coming days.
One UI 7 beta is now available for the Galaxy S24 series
Based on Android 15, One UI 7 is a major OS update for Galaxy phones and tablets. Samsung was expected to start public beta testing of this update in July or August but delayed its release. Perhaps a delayed release of Android 15 from Google postponed the One UI 7 beta rollout. Either way, the wait ends today as the company released the new One UI version.
As expected, the Galaxy S24 series is the first to receive One UI 7 beta. Interested users in the aforementioned markets can register through the Samsung Members app. Look for a banner about One UI 7 on the app’s homepage and tap to complete the registration process. You should receive the update shortly after a successful registration.
This update massively changes the look and feel of your Galaxy phone’s software experience. Samsung has redesigned several UI elements and substantially improved system animations for smoother navigation. One UI 7 is rumored to be the smoothest mobile UI today, smoother than Apple’s iOS 18 for iPhones. There are tons of new features too.
That said, this is a beta build we are getting today, so don’t expect a fluid experience from day one. Samsung delayed the beta release to address minor bugs and improve stability. However, there may be some quirky bugs to annoy you. Subsequent beta builds should fix those, eventually readying One UI 7 for a public rollout. Samsung will push the update to dozens of devices.
