Samsung has released the second One UI 7.0 beta update for the Galaxy S24 series. Beta 2 is now available to existing beta participants with the build version “ZXL5”. Samsung has also opened beta programs in India, where users are directly receiving the latest build.
One UI 7.0 Beta 2 starts rolling out to users
At launch earlier this month, Samsung’s One UI 7.0 beta programs for the Galaxy S24 trio were available in the US, the UK, China, South Korea, and Germany. The company has now opened the program in India, with Poland likely to join the party soon. As expected, beta participants in India are receiving a new build, which arrives as Beta 2 in the former five markets.
Since it’s the first release in India, the update is massive, weighing over 4.5GB. It should be a substantially smaller package in other markets. The Beta 2 addresses bugs in the first build and introduces some new features. Samsung says it has patched bugs in Wi-Fi, NFC, Smart Select, Routines, Wireless DeX, app drawer, and more.
As mentioned above, One UI 7.0 Beta 2 is now available for Galaxy S24 users who enrolled in the beta program earlier. Samsung will soon roll out the update to all beta participants globally. Well, in the supported regions. It is also expected to launch beta programs for more devices, including the Galaxy S23, recent foldables, and a few mid-range smartphones. It may not add more markets beyond Poland, though.
As far as the stable update is concerned, it arrives with the Galaxy S25 series next year. Other eligible models will receive the update following the S25 launch in late January.
