It’s been a busy day for Samsung so far. The One UI 7.0 Beta 3 is now live for the Galaxy S24 series in select regions. Samsung has showcased some impressive products at CES in Las Vegas. In a press release, it hinted at introducing Qi2 support without explicitly mentioning which models will include it.
Leaked official Galaxy S25 cases confirm Qi2 support
It has long been rumored that the Galaxy S25 series will support Qi2 wireless charging, though with the use of a case. Now, WinFuture has published what appears to be the official Qi2 cases for the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. Well, if what I’ve come across is anything to go by, I’m happy to report that all the Galaxy S25 models will support Qi2 wireless charging with a case. You can take a look at the leaked Galaxy S25 series cases confirming Qi2 support.
German publication WinFuture makes an interesting point. It states that the silicon cases in question could be official, as indicated by the “Designed by Samsung” label. Plus, the official wallpaper for the Galaxy S25 series is displayed on the marketing render’s screen.
As previous rumors have hinted, the Galaxy S25 series could support fast wireless charging up to 25W. It’s clear that Samsung, as anticipated, has taken a page from its own playbook, borrowing the camera island design from the Galaxy Z series, if these renders are accurate. This leak follows a recent press release sent to the media today by WPC, quoting Samsung as being on board with Qi2 support. Additionally, Google is joining the Qi2 bandwagon with its Pixel series.
Safe to say… this could be the closest we’ve come to seeing the upcoming Galaxy S25 series. Much of what’s still unknown will be confirmed on January 22. This is when Samsung is expected to host the annual Galaxy Unpacked event in San Francisco.
