It’s an update party at Samsung today. After the Galaxy S23, S23 FE, and Tab S9, the One UI 6.1.1 update is rolling out to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5. As usual, Korean users get the big feature drop first, though it should soon be available in other markets. Samsung should also roll out One UI 6.1.1 to more devices in the coming days.
Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 join the One UI 6.1.1 update party
One UI 6.1.1 brings a host of new AI features, camera enhancements, and other software goodies that Samsung introduced on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6. The Galaxy S24 series received this update a few days ago, and the company is now rolling it out to more supported models. The Korean Galaxy Z fold 5 is picking up One UI 6.1.1 with the firmware build number F946NKSU3DXH9, while it is F731NTCU3DXHA for the Flip 6.
Since it is a major feature update, the OTA (over the air) file is huge, weighing well over 2GB. It brings AI features like Sketch to Image, PDF translation, enhanced Live Translate, and more. There are also new camera features and other improvements to talk about. You can find all One UI 6.1.1 features here. Some older devices may not support the most advanced AI features. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 6 shouldn’t miss out on many, though.
This update should soon reach the 2023 Samsung foldables in other markets, including the US. The likes of the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4 are also expected to receive One UI 6.1.1 in the coming days. If you are using a supported Galaxy phone or tablet, watch out for it. You can check for updates from the Settings app. Samsung is also pushing the September security patch to eligible devices, so there is a lot to look forward to.
