A few days ago, X leaker Ice Universe claimed that the Galaxy S25 series will bring unprecedented AI advancements. They said leaks so far have revealed only a small glimpse of what Samsung has in store. The leaker has now reinforced this claim, adding that the upcoming flagships will also introduce significant upgrades to Bixby.
Galaxy S25 series to introduce groundbreaking AI and Bixby advancements
According to Ice Universe, the new Bixby and AI features will be the biggest selling point of the Galaxy S25 lineup. “Samsung did what Apple didn’t,” the tipster said in an X post. Interestingly, they took a similar dig at Apple the last time out: Samsung Galaxy S25 will tell Apple what leading AI is. This hints at big new AI upgrades coming to these flagships.
Apple’s AI suite for iPhones has been underwhelming, to say the least. Galaxy AI already outperforms Apple Intelligence in many ways, and Samsung looks well-equipped to set the bar even higher. As mentioned above, most of the new AI upgrades are still under wraps, though leaks have hinted at features like a video object eraser and a sound eraser.
As far as Bixby upgrades are concerned, Samsung’s AI assistant can now understand natural language and context more effectively. It is powered by large language models (LLMs) and is significantly smarter and more versatile than previous iterations. The “new Bixby” is expected to finally catch up to Google Assistant and Apple Siri.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy S25 series on January 22. The company will release the S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, while the rumored S25 Slim could make a cameo appearance. Pre-reservations for the former three models are now live. Samsung offers extra credit and other benefits if you pre-reserve now and purchase the phones at launch later this month.
