A few weeks ago, Samsung accidentally revealed the ongoing development of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE. The now-deleted reference on its website suggested that the company has multiple new Fan Edition tablets in the pipeline. We now have evidence confirming the existence of at least one model. A regulatory agency recently certified the batteries for the Galaxy Tab S10 FE 5G.
Galaxy Tab S10 FE series is on the way, new certification confirms
The Indian regulatory agency BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) recently certified two battery packs for an unreleased Samsung device. The batteries bear the model numbers EB-BX526ABE and EB-BX526ABY. While the listing reveals no other information, those model numbers uncover the device in question. It is the Galaxy Tab S10 FE’s 5G version, which has the model number SM-X526.
To recall, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G was SM-X516. Its Wi-Fi version was SM-X510, while Samsung is developing the Wi-Fi Tab S10 FE with the model number SM-X520. Depending on the region, the company uses suffixes like B (global), N (Korea), or U (US) at the end of the model number for 5G units. If a Tab S10 FE+ exists, it should be SM-X620 and SM-X626 (Tab S9 FE+ is SM-X610 and SM-X616).
While there’s no word yet on the Plus model, an earlier leak said Samsung will equip the Galaxy Tab S10 FE with a 12MP rear camera. If true, we are looking at a notable upgrade from an 8MP camera on the Tab S9 FE. Most other things may remain unchanged, though we expect a newer processor. The Tab S9 FE is powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 chipset.
As far as the launch is concerned, the Korean firm may unveil the new Fan Edition tablet(s) in mid-2025. The aforementioned premature reference on Samsung’s website referred to a promotion that required buyers to activate the “Tab S10 FE series” by the end of July 2025 to avail of the benefits. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ debuted in October 2023. More details should emerge soon.
