Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition vs Galaxy Z Fold 6: Display
From the very moment you hold the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, the differences are clear. It’s slightly taller and thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, offering a compact feel. Both, however, retain the signature Dynamic AMOLED 2X displays and a 120Hz refresh rate.
For day-to-day usage, both displays perform admirably, but the Special Edition has a marginal edge in vertical real estate.
Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition vs Galaxy Z Fold 6: Camera, oh boy
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition flexes its muscles in the camera, housing a whopping 200MP primary wide-angle lens, compared to the 50MP lens on the Galaxy Z Fold 6. The Special Edition’s camera is honestly leaps ahead.
There’s one downside, though, we found out that when you place either of them on a flat surface, they tend to rock back and forth. This could be avoided using a case, though.
Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition vs Galaxy Z Fold 6: Performance
Under the hood, both the Z Fold Special Edition and Z Fold 6 house the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. But the advantage of the Special Edition lies in its larger screen, which makes multitasking more efficient.
For users who run multiple apps at once, the Special Edition has the upper hand. If you don’t need to constantly multitask, the Z Fold 6 will serve you just as well for day-to-day use.
What makes the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition a deal-maker or a deal-breaker?
The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is a deal maker, especially for those seeking a more refiner, taller, and sleeker foldable experience. Or wanting to own a Special Edition.
But buying the Z Fold Special Edition if you live outside South Korea, wouldn’t be a wise choice. First, its high price tag: We spent $3000 to get one shipped to the US. There’s no international warranty if things go south. Regardless, the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is a beautiful piece of tech.
