A few weeks ago, Samsung rolled out some of the new One UI 7.0 icons to its Galaxy Book laptops. The updated icon pack is now appearing more widely across Samsung’s Windows-powered computers. The company has yet to start One UI 7 beta testing on Galaxy smartphones.

Samsung may finally put One UI 7.0 leaks to bed with an official beta release next week. The company is expected to launch beta programs for the Galaxy S24 series in the US, Europe, and a few other markets. While it has yet to officially announce anything, recent developments suggest the update won’t be delayed much longer.
In the meantime, the Korean firm is rolling out the new icons to the Galaxy Book lineup. The latest update for the Galaxy Book Experience app introduced refreshed icons for Phone, Samsung Notes, SmartThings, Tips, and other first-party Samsung apps. The new design aligns with the leaked One UI 7.0 icons.
As you may recall, Samsung has updated One UI 7.0 icon packs several times over the past few months. We have seen multiple icon designs for some apps, including Gallery and Samsung Notes. The recent update for Galaxy Books brings the older Notes icon. We expect the company will replace it with the latest version in an upcoming update.
Samsung has made its intentions clear: it aims to maintain a consistent UI design across its products, ensuring a seamless user experience. The recent icon updates for Galaxy Books underscore its commitment to this goal. We now hope it won’t keep Galaxy smartphone users waiting for One UI 7.0 much longer.
That said, Samsung has confirmed that the stable Android 15 update won’t roll out until 2025, meaning it will be some time before most Galaxy users globally see One UI 7.0. The beta version is unlikely to be available widely — though Samsung could surprise us with a broader rollout this time. We’ll know soon enough.
