Galaxy S25 Cases Shown in New Leak, Seamless Updates Tipped

by | Nov 4, 2024 | Galaxy S, News

Galaxy S25 leaks have been abundant recently, revealing much about Samsung’s upcoming flagship series. From the design and specs to possible pricing, we already know plenty about the devices long before their launch. A new leak shows alleged third-party silicone cases for all three models. Additionally, a tipster hinted that the Galaxy S25 lineup may finally support seamless updates.

New leak shows Galaxy S25 cases

Leaks suggest Samsung has put in a lot of effort to enhance the visual appeal of its next-gen flagships. The Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra are thinner, lighter, and narrower than their predecessors. The upcoming models also boast slimmer bezels for a more premium look. Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7 update allegedly complements the hardware upgrade with a smoother and more fluid software experience.

Images shared by tipster Roland Quandt show third-party silicone cases for the new Samsung flagships. The images reconfirm the design changes for the Ultra model. It’s getting slightly curved corners, while the other two models were always curved. The rear camera cutouts confirm the unchanged camera layout for all three models. We may see one new camera sensor on the Galaxy S25 trio or at least the Ultra.

In a separate X post, tipster @theonecid claimed that the Galaxy S25 series will support seamless updates. The Galaxy A55 is the only Samsung phone to boast this Android feature. It makes software updates more convenient and safe. Updates are installed on the secondary system partition in the background, reducing the downtime. In case something goes wrong during the installation, the phone automatically returns to the previous build.

This feature has been available for Android phones since 2016 but Samsung never adopted it. The Korean firm finally added seamless updates to the Galaxy A55 earlier this year. The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 lacked it, but the feature may now be available on the next flagships. We should get a confirmation soon.
