Samsung is expanding its Galaxy device repair network in the United States. It is adding over 300 new Cell Phone Repair (CPR) by Assurant locations to offer Galaxy users more accessible and reliable repair options. The new locations will be available by the end of 2024.
Samsung announces 300 new Galaxy device repair centers in the US
At the beginning of the year, CPR had around 100 locations certified by Samsung for Galaxy device repairs in the US. Through this expanded partnership, Galaxy users have over 400 CPR repair centers across the country. The company already operates hundreds of other authorized repair centers. It claims more than 9,000 Samsung Mobile-certified repair technicians across over 2,000 Samsung Authorized Care locations.
Samsung’s repair network covers more than 84% of the US population for same-day mobile product repair. A repair typically takes around two hours. The company also runs 450 vans under its “We Come To You” home repair service in partnership with uBreakiFix. Galaxy users can use this in-person service in select cities, usually within a 30-60-minute drive from a service center. Its mail-in repairs are available across all 50 states.
Additionally, the Korean behemoth runs a self-repair program for people who want to repair damaged Galaxy devices themselves. Samsung provides repair guides, toolkits, and genuine replacement parts. While the company’s self-repair partner iFixit has ended the partnership citing concerns over its commitment to repairability, the program remains active and available for those who prefer a hands-on approach to device maintenance.
The deal with CPR ensures Galaxy users have accessible options when needing repairs. Samsung emphasized the importance of Independent Service Providers (ISPs) like CPR by Assurant, stating that they play a key role in providing convenient care options and ensuring the availability of genuine parts at more locations. Assurant’s repair network also includes Batteries Plus with a total of over 900 repair locations across the country.
