Earlier this month, Samsung launched the Galaxy A16 5G, offering six years of software updates. Priced at €229, it became the cheapest Galaxy device to receive six or more major Android OS updates. Now, the company has introduced a 4G version of the Galaxy A16. While the price of the 4G model hasn’t been revealed yet, it is expected to be more affordable. Samsung promises the same software update support for this version as well.

The phone can record 1080p videos from front and rear cameras.
The handset packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 25W charging. The Galaxy A16 also boasts IP54 dust and water resistance and supports the Samsung Knox Vault for enhanced security of your data. Speaking of data, the phone offers 128GB of internal storage space. You can insert micro SD cards of up to 1TB to expand the storage capacity externally. The Galaxy A16 also offers a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 4GB RAM, GPS, dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Overall, it’s a solid phone for basic needs, with six years of update support being the cherry on top of the cake. Launched with Android 14, the device will receive feature updates up to Android 20. Samsung will push regular security patches to the Galaxy A16 until the end of 2030.
