Google has officially started sending out invitations to tech journalists for its next Made by Google event. Scheduled for August 12, the event is expected to bring the Pixel 11 series alongside other new hardware.
Ahead of the launch, the upcoming lineup has leaked once again, this time revealing what could be every storage variant, color option, and even pricing for all four models. While the bad news is that buyers may have to pay more than last year, Google could soften the blow by finally dropping 128GB as the base storage option.
Bye-bye 128GB?
According to a new report from Android Authority, the entire Pixel 11 family could start at 256GB of storage. If accurate, that would mark one of the biggest quality-of-life upgrades for Google’s flagship lineup in years. The leak claims the standard Pixel 11 will be available in 256GB and 512GB configurations. That’s a notable change. Previous base Pixel models started at 128GB.
The Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold are also expected to ship in 256GB and 512GB versions, while all three Pro models may additionally offer a 1TB option exclusively in the Midnight Haze (black) color.
Pixel 11 colors
Speaking about the Midnight Haze color, let’s talk about the Pixel 11 series color options. Google is reportedly preparing four colors for the standard Pixel 11:
- Light Sterling (Gray)
- Midnight Haze (Black)
- Fuchsia (Pink)
- Moss (Green)
Meanwhile, both the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL could arrive in:
- Light Fog (White)
- Midnight Haze (Black)
- Dune (Pink)
- Pine (Green)
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold may launch in just two colors, just like previous Google Pixel Pro Fold versions:
- Midnight Haze (Black)
- Pine (Green)
A higher price is also expected this year
The report also claims Google could increase prices across the entire Pixel 11 lineup by around €100 in Europe. That seems to be the trend this year for all smartphone manufacturers. Although paying more is never ideal, removing the 128GB base model would make the increase easier to justify. Storage demands continue to grow thanks to higher-resolution photos, 4K video recording, AI features, and larger apps. As a result, 256GB is a much more practical starting point in 2026.
Pixel 11 could start at €999 for 256GB, while the 512GB variant could start at €1,129. Pixel 11 Pro could start at €1,199 for the 256GB model, while the 512GB model should be €1,329. The 1TB version could cost as much as €1,589. For context, the Google Pixel 10 started at €899. Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro started at €1,099 — both phones with the 128GB of storage option.
Pixel 11 Pro XL could be the most expensive flagship phone this year
The Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at €1,399 for 256GB of storage, € 1,529 for 512GB, and €1,789 for 1 TB. With these prices, these phones are slowly getting the same price as a foldable phone launched last year. For context, the Pixel 10 Pro XL started at €1,299 but came with 256GB of storage by default. There was no option for 128GB.
Speaking of foldables, here are also the prices for the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold. For the 256GB of storage, the Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold could cost €1,999, while the 512GB variant would cost €2,129. The 1TB version could cost €2,389.
As always, these details should be treated with caution until Google officially unveils the Pixel 11 series. However, if this leak proves accurate, buyers may be getting a more future-proof storage configuration, even if it comes with a higher price tag. Personally, I expect more smartphone brands to increase their prices in the coming years.
In fact, Samsung’s upcoming foldables, scheduled to arrive on July 22, are highly likely to carry a higher price tag too. Stay tuned.
