Google Vids Brings Free AI Avatars for Video Creation in the US

Google Vids lets you create videos using AI avatars that can speak your script like a real presenter. However, earlier this feature was part of the paid plans, limiting its reach to a wider audience. Now, if you live in the US, you can use it for free with limited monthly usage.

You can now create videos with avatars on Google Vids for free

Google Vids is a video creation platform that transforms simple scripts, presentations, and ideas into full videos. It comes in handy if you want to make professional-looking videos without cameras, actors, or complicated editing tools. The best thing is that you can pick from a library of AI avatars that serve as digital presenters and read out the script.

Each avatar comes with a different look and voice style. Google has now expanded the avatar options from 23 to 53 presets for more creative freedom. However, the key announcement is the free access rollout of the AI avatar tool in the US. The company also promises to make it free in other regions in the coming months.

While the feature is now free to use, it is still not unlimited. Google offers 10 video generations per month for free users. If you need more, you can subscribe to plans like Google AI Pro or Ultra to reach a limit of 1,000 generations per month.

To use AI avatars, open Google Vids on your computer and then click on the AI avatar option. Now, open the scene where you want to use the avatar. Click Add your script and type what you want the avatar to speak. If you want to change the avatar, click Edit to pick a different one. Select the avatar and then click Preview to see how it looks and sounds. If you are ready, hit the Generate button.
