June 2026 Google Play System Update: What’s New?

Google has recently shared the notes for its June 2026 Play System update. As usual, the update brings improvements to Android’s core services, including Play services and the Play Store. It should begin hitting eligible Samsung Galaxy devices in the coming weeks.

Here are the details of the Google Play System update for June 2026
With monthly Play System updates, Google aims to improve the Android experience. These updates allow the company to push security fixes, performance improvements, and new features without requiring full OS upgrades. Speaking of Play services version 26.21, Google has introduced new features for developers to support Maps-related processes in their apps. The company also lets you import and export passwords and passkeys between Google Password Manager and third-party password managers. This is enabled through the Credential Exchange standard.
Meanwhile, with Play Store version 51.7, Google brings a bunch of improvements to the Play Store experience. You will see a new look in Play Store dialogs when you get or buy an app to continue. The Play Store now shows sales prices and discount details more clearly.
Furthermore, Google combines pre-registration and auto-install into a single flow. You can now get pop-up banner notifications for monthly challenges. On installed app store listing pages, you will find app content. Play Collections also lets you browse similar content.
As of now, there is no word on when Google plans to push the June 2026 Play System update for Galaxy users. Speaking of Google Play services version 26.22, the update includes bug fixes for device connection services. Now, when someone shares a contact card via Quick Share, you can view the contact’s details. It also brings Find Hub configuration during phone setup, letting you find your device remotely. Furthermore, you will see lowered clutter in games and developer interfaces as the update archives stale achievements.
Meanwhile, Google Play Store version 51.8 improves security with Google Play Protect. The update introduces additional checks for unverified apps. It also brings an “Ask Play” button to the search suggestions bar for a full-screen AI search experience. Moreover, Ask Play Highlights on search results now offers faster real-time streaming and more flexible response formats.
