X continues to improve user experience with a host of AI-powered features. The social media platform now brings Custom Timelines, letting you pin specific topics to the Home tab. The feature is currently available for Premium subscribers on iOS, though it should not take long to arrive on Android as well.

Dive deep into your favorite niche with Custom Timelines

Nikita Bier, X’s head of product, today announced the launch of Custom Timelines as one of the platform’s biggest updates. Earlier, when you visited the Home page, you saw tabs like “For you” and “Following.” The company has now added another option, “Add+,” which lets you personalize the feed.

If you tap on “Add+,” you can pick from a list of more than 75 topics to create your own custom feed. Once selected, that topic will be pinned to your Home tab, giving you quick access to posts related to that interest. You can add multiple topics and switch between them effortlessly. For example, if you are interested in photography or design, you can create separate timelines for each. This will allow you to see content from those areas whenever you want.

“It’s powered by Grok’s understanding of every post with the algorithm’s personalization—meaning every timeline is made just for you,” said Bier on X. “And it works even better when it’s a topic you already engage with.” He added that this was a big project that took many months to bring to life.

Unfortunately, Custom Timelines is not available to all users at the moment. As mentioned above, the company is only rolling out to Premium X users on iOS. While it plans to bring the feature to Android as well, the timeline remains unclear. Furthermore, there is no clarity whether free users will get access in the future. Hopefully, the feature will not be limited only to paid subscribers.
