The Galaxy Connect app is no longer limited to Samsung laptops. The Korean firm has announced that the app now works with Windows 11 PCs regardless of brand. This means you can enjoy seamless integration between Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and non-Samsung PCs.

Enjoy Galaxy connectivity experience on non-Samsung PCs

Samsung aims to make your digital life more convenient with its Galaxy Connect app. Thanks to the recent expansion, this convenience is not just for Samsung laptop users. In a community post, a Samsung moderator said, “Now, enjoy the unique Galaxy connectivity experience not only on Galaxy Books but also on various Windows PCs.”

This development appears to be part of Galaxy Connect’s latest version 2.1.6.0. The changelog also mentions an expansion of the Galaxy connection experience. Moreover, it brings fixes for some errors to improve the user experience. While it does not specify the fixes, Samsung might have addressed the inability to access the “C” drive, which came to light last month.

To use Galaxy Connect, you will need to open the Microsoft Store on your Windows PC. Now search for Galaxy Connect and download the app. After installation, launch it from the Windows Start menu (click the app icon). Next, sign in using your Samsung account to enjoy the features.

The Continue on another device feature lets you keep browsing on your PC from where you left off on your phone. You can also copy and paste text, images, files, and videos between devices. Meanwhile, the Storage Sharing feature lets you access files through PC’s File Explorer, making file management simple.

Thanks to Multi-control, you can use your PC’s mouse and keyboard to control nearby Galaxy devices. Finally, the Second screen feature lets you use a Galaxy tablet as an additional display for your PC.

It is worth mentioning that Galaxy Connect does not work on ARM-based PCs. It only supports Intel x86 and x64 Windows 11 PCs.
