Samsung is giving its image editing app, Galaxy Enhance-X, a major upgrade. A fresh update brings a redesigned interface, a new plugin system, and expanded editing capabilities to the app. The new version is currently available for Galaxy S26 users, but it should roll out widely soon.

Galaxy Enhance-X gets a major new update

Rolling out as version 16.3.00.40, the latest update for Galaxy Enhance-X introduces a modern UI. Instead of cramming all tools onto a single screen, Samsung has split the app into three tabs: Plugins, Home, and History. The Plugins tab houses downloadable tools, including additional filters and effects. Samsung currently offers three options:

  • FilmStyle – nine cinematic filters like Golden Hour, Classic, and Timeless Chrome
  • Cinematic Glow – adds soft diffusion effects for a dreamy, portrait-friendly look
  • SkyGuide – identifies stars, constellations, and celestial objects in night sky photos

Home acts as the central workspace, where you can pick photos or videos and access editing tools. Samsung has combined tools for photos, videos, and documents in one place. And yes, you read that right. The app now supports document editing, letting you scan, enhance, annotate, translate, and convert files into JPEG or PDF, all without leaving the app.

Additionally, Galaxy Enhance-X has added batch editing, which allows you to process multiple photos or videos in one go. You can see all your past edits in the History tab, complete with information about edits applied to a particular photo, video, or document.

With this update, Galaxy Enhance-X is evolving from a simple enhancement tool into a more complete editing suite. Everything you create is saved in standard formats like JPEG, MP4, and PDF, making sharing easy. If you use the app on your Galaxy smartphone, check for updates in the Galaxy Store. The new version isn’t available widely yet, but it should be soon.
